Qld: author still fighting to clear her name

Writer NORMA KHOURI is still fighting to clear her name over claims the story she tells
in her book Forbidden Love is untrue, despite her book being pulled from shelves.

The Australian publisher of Ms KHOURI'S book, Random House, decided to pull the book
permanently on Friday after the author was considered unable to prove the truth of her
story.

However Ms KHOURI'S lawyer, Brisbane-based PETER BLACK, says the author is still compiling
evidence that she believes will clear her name.

Mr BLACK says Ms KHOURI will emerge to clear her name in the near future.

Ms KHOURI'S next book, A Matter of Honour, which was due out in November, will not
be published by Random House and the publishers have offered retailers a refund for Forbidden
Love.
