Fed: Hill says G-G needs to clearly state he abhors child abuse

CANBERRA, Feb 24 AAP - Defence Minister Robert Hill today said Governor-General PeterHollingworth needed to unambiguously declare his abhorrence of child abuse.

Senator Hill, also the government leader in the Senate, said that some of Dr Hollingworth'slanguage regarding the child abuse claims had been awkward.

"The language that he is using doesn't seem to in a way reflect contemporary standards,"
