VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) — A prosecutor in Washington state says a woman who falsely claimed a stranger threw acid in her face will appear in court Wednesday.
Bethany Storro, of Vancouver, is charged with second-degree theft, accused of accepting donations after claiming a woman had splashed her with acid on Aug. 30. Police say she later admitted putting drain cleaner on her face.
